Symptoms

When using the Location Transfer (P12115) to attempt an asset transfer and selecting a historical location, the system will display the following error:

Location Does Not Match
Error ID 176

CAUSE: The location in the header does not match with the location in the detail line

RESOLUTION: Change the From location in the header to match the selected detailed line. Or, choose the correct detail line that has the same From location as the header.

Steps:
1. Create an Equipment record (P1701/P1702); make the starting location at the beginning of the year.
2. Find the Equipment record in Work with Locations (P12215); select the current location and take the row exit to Location Transfer (P12115)
3. Transfer the asset to a different business unit location using a past date.
4. Create other transfers so that there are multiple historical locations and one current location.
5. In Work with Locations (P12215), re-inquire on the asset and select one of the historical locations. Take the row exit to Location Transfer.
6. Enter a valid business unit in the To Location and click OK. Notice the system displays the following error:

Location Does Not Match
Error ID 176
CAUSE: The location in the header does not match with the location in the detail line

RESOLUTION: Change the From location in the header to match the selected detailed line. Or, choose the correct detail line that has the same From location as the header.

Note that this error occurs even when entering a value in the From Location that matches the selected location.
