E1: 43: Quantity is Not Released From Blanket When Using P4310 and Letting Qty "1" Default if User Later Changes the Quantity to be Released (Doc ID 2905313.1)

Symptoms

When using P4310 to release blanket orders into a purchase order, if user let Qty "1" default in and later need to change the line quantity, after saving the purchase order which is correctly create however, quantity is not released from original blanket.

Steps:

  1. P4310 ZJDE0006 – Create blanket order for Item FG003, supplier 4343 in Branch Plant 30. Blanket order 199 OB. See current, 1140.00 quantity open
  2. P4310 - Releasing a Blanket with Purchase Order Entry (P4310). Click Add button and populate supplier number and branch plant in the header. Click Ok.
  3. P4310 Details – Populate item number and move cursor to next line. It will default quantity 1 in quantity field for each line
  4. User realized the quantities are not correct and so, they go back to quantity field and change the quantity to correct value.Let’s say, change to quantity 40 then, click green check “√” mark to save the order.
  5. DATABROWSER –Go back to blanket order and see that quantity has not been decreased from the blanket after purchase order was created. Now, do it again however user will enter correct quantity right at the time of populating the detail lines in the PO.
  6. P4310 - Releasing a Blanket with Purchase Order Entry (P4310). Click Add button and populate supplier number and branch plant. Click Ok. P4310 Details – Populate item number, move cursor to quantity and correct (needed) enter quantity in the first line.
  7. DATABROWSER – Go back to blanket order and see that quantity has been correctly decreased from the blanket after purchase order was created. Notice that the blanket order is NOT released.
