E1: 33: Resource Profile Regeneration R3365 Calculates Wrong Resource Hours For Component In Batch BOM (Doc ID 2906200.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 05, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When BOM of finished item has batch quantity instead of blank (zero), hours  of related component are calculated incorrectly by R3365.
This happens if BOM with batch quantity zero exists.

For example,

BOM of item Parent(stocking type M) with batch quantity 10EA has item Child (stocking type M) with quantity 12EA.

Routing of item Child has 1 workcenter with machine hours 2 and labor hours 4.

After running R3365, machine hours 24 and labor hours 48 are added in Resource Profile table (F3303) .

Machine hours should be 2.4 and labor hours should be 4.8. Batch quantity should be considered by R3365.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps.

1. Add a parent Item and Child Item with stocking type M (P4101, P41026). Accounting Cost Quantity (ACQ) of the parent item is 10. Child item's ACQ is 1.
2. Add BOM (P3002) with Batch Quantity 10. Quantity of the child item is 12EA. And Fix/Variable flag is set to F (fix).
3. Add work center masters (P3006) and Routing Master (P3003) for Parent item and Child item. Batch quantity is blank (zero).
For Parent item, machine hour is 6 and labor hour is 5.
For Child item, machine hour is 4 and labor hour is 2.
4. Run R3365 5.Check Resource Profile (P3303/F3303)
5.Check Resource Profile (P3303/F3303)
There are 4 lines in Resource profile of the parent item. Their Unit Type is 1(Run Labor Hours), 3 (Machine Hours), L (Fixed Labor) and M (Fixed Machine).
1(Run Labor Hours) is 5 HR and 3 (Machine Hours) is 6 HR. It is correct.
However, L (Fixed Labor) is 24 HR and M (Fixed Machine) is 48 HR. Both are wrong. Batch quantity 10 in BOM doesn't considered.
    Correctly, L (Fixed Labor) should be 2.4 ( = 2 HR *12 EA / batch quantity 10) and M (Fixed Machine) should be 4.8 (=4 HR * 12 EA / batch quantity 10).
