E1: 17: Item Number is Cleared After Updating Order Information or Moving Tab on Service Work Order (P48201) (Doc ID 2906219.1)

Symptoms

When inquiring on an equipment work order from Work With Work Order (P48201) and executing specific operations, the Inventory Item Number field is cleared.

The issue occurs when either moving from Order Detail tab to another tab of Work Order Revisions (P17714) and go back to order Detail tab.

or

Updating the Failure Description field in Order Detail tab of Work Order Revisions (P17714) and tab out of the field.

Go on and click OK button. Inquire the work order using Work With Work Order (P48201). Item number in Inventory item Number field appears correctly. Even if moving tab and/or updating any information in order Detail tab of Work Order Revisions (P17714), item number in Inventory Item Number field should not be cleared.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps.

1. Add Service Provider information to address number that is related with E1 user ID (P01012).
2. In Work With Work Order (P48201), add a new work order. Populate Branch, Inventory Item Number, Lot, Product Model, Product Family, Description and Failure Description.
3. Inquire on the work order using Work With Work Orders (P48201).
4. Just after Order Detail tab appears, click Unit Number field to move the cursor in Work Order Revisions (P17714). At this time, the item number is populated in Inventory Item Number field.
5. Move to Planning tab.
6. Go back to Order Detail tab. Inventory item number is cleared.

or

1. Add Service Provider information to address number that is related with E1 user ID (P01012).
2. In Work With Work Order (P48201), add a new work order. Populate Branch, Inventory Item Number, Lot, Product Model, Product Family, Description and Failure Description.
3. Inquire on the work order using Work With Work Orders (P48201).
4. Just after Order Detail tab appears, click Unit Number field to move the cursor in Work Order Revisions (P17714). At this time, the item number is populated in Inventory Item Number field.
5. Change Failure Description or any fields in Order Detail tab and move the cursor by hitting tab key.
6. Then Inventory Item Number field is cleared.
