E1: 41: Import Grid Data in Work with Item Master Revisions (P4101Z1) Fails with 22 or More Records Importing from Excel (Doc ID 2907497.1)

Symptoms

In Work with Item Master Revisions (P4101Z1) if the user attempts to import more than 22 grid records from an Excel spreadsheet, the data is not imported into the grid. No error messages are displayed for the import. If the user attempts to import 22 or less records, the records are displayed in the grid for further processing. The grid import limit is 1000 records.


Steps

  1. In Work with Item Master Revisions, P4101Z1, use Add to create one record.
  2. Export the record to an Excel spreadsheet.
  3. Copy the record to create additional unique records exceeding 22 records.
  4. In P4101Z1, use Add to create transactions.
  5. Use the Tools exit to Import Grid Data
  6. Choose previously created file, upload the file, define the cell range to include 23 rows, apply.
  7. Click Continue. Work with Item Master Revisions is displayed with no records.
  8. Repeat the steps selecting 22 rows. Click Continue. Work with Item Master Revisions is displayed with the grid rows populated.

In the customer's testing, the import failed with 46 records.  For the customer, 45 records were successful.
