E1: ORCH: Orchestration Does Not Call Pop-Up Form Through Client Only NERs (Doc ID 2907696.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 07, 2022

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Client Only (where F9860.BFLOCN = '1') Named Event Rules (NERs) are used to call forms using form interconnect functionality. This works when such NERs are called from an application running on web client in a browser. When such NERs are called using custom service requests within an orchestration, there are no errors observed but there are no forms popping up.

Steps to replicate

  1. Login to orchestrator studio
  2. Create a custom service request to call the NER - N7000310 (N7000310_PlugAndPlay_P4210) and pass XIT as FormAction
  3. Create an orchestration for the above service request
  4. Run the above orchestration using a composed page or from a button in a form extension
  5. Orchestration is executed but there are no form popping up

This NER, when called from an application on web client in a browser, will popup P7001|W7001B (Regional Information) form.
