Symptoms

When having on the system the default value for the data items CENTCHG and DCYR as 25, and the date format as DMY (DDMMYY) on the User Profile (P0092), if going to Tax Rate/Area (P4008) and setting an expiration date with a year bigger than 2025, then after Save the year is displayed on 4 digits, even it should be on 2 digits!

       Steps:

      1. Go to P0092 User Profile Revisions and set on the User Profile the Date Format = DMY Month, Day, Year (MMDDYY), then logout and login again

      2. Go to P92001 Data Dictionary Items and check on the default value for CENTCHG and DCYR, that is set as 25 for both ( Data Century CenturyChangeYear, Alias CENTCHG and Data Item CenturyCutoff, Alias DCYR)

      3. Go to P4008 and add or update a tax rate/ area and set its Expiration Date to be on 31 of December 2025, then click to Save. Notice that the Year from the Expiration date is displayed on 2 digits, that is OK.

      4. Go to P4008 and add or update a tax rate/ area and set its expiration date to be beyond the 31 of December 2025, lets say 1 of January 2026, then click to Save. Notice the Year from the Expiration date is displayed on 4 digits, that is not OK.

      5. Double-check on the database on the F4008 table, the same is showing on the F4008 table, for the dates starting with 1 of January 2026 the year is displayed on 4 digits, event the date format should be DMY.

      6. Go to BV and run the R40081 Tax Area Information report to print information about the above tax rate/areas, and notice that for the dates bigger than 31 of December 2025 the Year is shown on 4 digits, even the date format is DMY on the P0092 User Profile!
