E1: Error 4427: "Prior End Balance Forward Invalid” Is Being Displayed When Splitting an Asset Journal Entry Entered on a Prior Year Asset (P12102/P12106) (Doc ID 2912802.1)

Symptoms

When splitting an asset journal entry having a G/L Date in a prior closed year, the system displays the Error 4427: "Prior End Balance Forward Invalid”. 

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. On P12102 Revise Unposted Entries do inquire on an unposted journal entry having a G/L Date in a prior year.
  2. Select that unposted journal entry, then go to Row Exit and select the Split option.
  3. Click OK to save the record. Error 4427: "Prior End Balance Forward Invalid” is displayed.
