E1: 08: Change Record Type RCCD From Defaulting Value For New Employee From Data Dictionary (Doc ID 2913683.1)

Last updated on APRIL 17, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Human Resources Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Record Type (RCCD) originally was hardcoded in function Employee MBF B0500575 to default to 1 when adding an employee this changed in Bug 27160836 to use the Default Value set in the Data Dictionary for data item RCCD.

The customer would like new employees to default to 1. They have the default value in Data Dictionary for RCCD set to 3 and cannot change because of other Time Entry implications.

The Employee Payroll Revisions P0801PRL does not display during new employee entry so the customer has to go back into the Employee Payroll to set the Record Type to 1. It would be better to have the new employee Record Type default from an easily changed processing option or UDC instead of at the Data Dictionary level.
