E1: 34: PRP Action Messages For Firm OT With AVLC 1 Generated in a Loop Or Not to Requirements (R3483) (Doc ID 2913919.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 05, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When run PRP over supply chain using AVLC flag to limit transfers to the supply plant on hand, the action messages for firm transfer orders will cancel the firm transfer and then replace with a net new transfer for same date and quantity, or will suggest a G increase to quantity double the available to transfer, or will suggest a decrease to the minimum order quantity setup in the demand plant.

Steps:

  1. Create P41026 multi-level BOM item for two or more levels.
  2. Discrete planning items (M and P stock types, line type S) in the BOM structure setup with or without item quantities.
  3. Create P3002 BOM multi-level structure, setup with leadtime offsets, such as -3 days, at one or more levels.
  4. Create P3403T branch relationship with AVLC=1.
  5. Enter P31P001 ETO project and add a work order for top level parent item and set shippable flag to 1, making the work order the project demand.
  6. Run R3482 or R3483 in PRP Project requirements Planning mode.
  7. Review P3411 messages and P3413 time series and P4021 Supply and Demand Inquiry. PRP generates OT order to transfer Supply plant available quantity and a OP message for the balance.
  8. In P3411, process the planned OT and rerun R3483.
  9. Review P3411 messages and note that the firm OT gets a C cancel Message and a net new PLO for a OTST or other (G or L) incorrect messages.
