Symptoms

When attempting to add a new conditional rule on an existing Rule Number in the Assembly Inclusion Rules (P3293), the following error occurs:

Invalid Characters after If/Else Char

Cause. . . . . There is an invalid sequence of values in the And/Or field.
Resolution . . Correct the sequence of values in the And/Or field.

Error ID 3189



The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Inquire on a Configured Item in Work with Assembly Inclusion Rules (P3293).
2. Select any rule to access the Assembly Inclusion Edit Group Revisions form (W3293A).
3. One the last line in the grid, enter a new condition; for example:

If Parent Segment 20 EQ 1
* Item Number = 6000

4. Click on the Save button and notice the following error:

Invalid Characters after If/Else Char
