Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When performing an Inventory Reclassification (P4116), if error 492Q (From Lines Must Precede to Lines) is not immediately corrected, the error UOM Conversion from XX to YY Unsuccessful (085D) will be received if different units of measures are each of the items being reclassified. In addition, the units of measure cannot be setup in the Standard Unit of Measure Conversions (P41003).

STEPS

1. In the 00/UM UDC table, add a new unit of measure
2. Add a new item with the primary unit of measure setup in step 1 using the P4101.
3. Find another item setup with a different unit of measure.
4. Adjust quantity for both items using the P4114 and add lots for each of the items.
5. Ensure there is not a standard unit of measure setup for the uom on each item (P41003).
6. Set processing option 5.Quantity Validation on the Process tab behind the P4116 to a value of 1 or 2.
7. Perform a reclassification (P4116) for the first item in the same branch, but input a different lot in the from and to values.
8. On the same transaction, tab down and input another from value for the 2nd item. Immediately, error 492Q (From Lines Must Precede to Lines) is correctly received. Do not correct this error by changing the transaction group.

9. Continue to add the to line for another lot for the item and tab off the line.
10. Go back to the 2nd item and correct the above error by changing the transaction group for the from/to to a value of 2.00.
11. Click OK on the P4116. Error UOM Conversion from XX to YY Unsuccessful (085D) is received (XX and YY representing the units of measure on the transaction).
