E1: ESU: Unable to Deploy ESU using the Web Client P96470W - Process Hangs (Doc ID 2916000.1)

Symptoms

Trying to deploy an ESU using the Web Client P96470W and the process is hanging. After selecting the ESU, clicking on Row\Deploy and then selecting Environment and options click OK and the process starts, but then eventually hangs.

If this is the first environment you are trying to apply the ESU to it may hang at 25% and on the ESUNAME\ALL\ALL 50-Create Plan Status step as seen in the below screenshot. If this is the second environment you are applying the ESU to it may hang at a different % and step ESUNAME\ALL\ALL 55-Workbench Status.

Note: If you do not see the Software Update Status screen on the right with the % then at the top of the window click the Layout dropdown and select Software Update Status History.

Note: You can monitor the ESU Progress in the Software Update Plan History at the bottom (may need to click Refresh) or in Work With Submitted Jobs (WSJ).
