E1: 32: Configured Sales Order Performance with Numeric Segments That are Linked to a UDC May Result in Web Client Exception and Timeout Error (P4210/P3210) (Doc ID 2922432.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 29, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a numeric Configured Item Segment (P3291) is linked to a UDC that has hundreds of values (approximately 800), a Sales Order for this configured item will have degraded performance. If the jde.ini timeout setting are not increased, the program may end in a Web Client Exception error.

Steps
1. Create a Configured Item (P4101/P41026).
2. Create a UDC (P0004A) that has 800 numeric code values.
3. Create a Configured Item Segment (P3291) with a numeric segment that uses the UDC from step 2.
4. Create P, C and X Assembly Inclusion Rules (P3293) that use the numeric segment linked to the UDC.
5. Create a Sales Order (P4210) for the Configured Item.
6. The system will call Configured Item Revisions (P3210); answer the segments and click Validate Configuration and Add to Order. Notice that the system take a long time to process.

Changes

The issue appears to have started after taking the UN6 code update.
