E1: 34: Requirements Planning R3483 and R3482 in Parallel Processing Mode Fails to Complete Unexpectedly (Every Run Completes for Months or Even Years Then Fails Consistently With No Known Changes in Data or Processing) (Doc ID 2923948.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 27, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Requirements Planning (R3482/R3483) is run in single-thread it usually give a clear error message if the Shop Floor Calendar (P300071) does not go far enough into the future. In Parallel mode (multi-threaded) a thread may encounter a incomplete calendar and end in error which then prevents the main job from completing and no .pdf report is printed. With no printed report there is no easy to find error message to indicate that it was the Calendar that was the cause of the problem.
