JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Notification has an application link defined and the form interconnect values are mapped to the notification inputs which in turn are mapped to the orchestration inputs. At runtime, if all the values for the form interconnect parameters are not passed in using the orchestration inputs, notification fails with NullPointerException. Below message can be observed in the studio as well as in the AIS debug for this scenario:
Steps to replicate:
- Login to the orchestration studio
- Create a simple notification
- Under Message >> Actions >> Application Links, define an application link for P01012|W01012A and map only mnAddress_Number to a notification input
- Save the notification and create an orchestration for this
- Orchestration shall have only one input which shall be mapped to the notification input
- Add a subscription for the notification
- Run the above orchestration from the studio but do not pass any value for the orchestration input
