Symptoms
When entering an Interim Check or Payroll for a New York (NY) Employee with Tax Type I (SDI), where the Unemployment Insurance Rates = 0.00 and Employee Tax Overrides = 0.00, Tax Type I still calculates. It should not calculate and show = blank.
Steps to Duplicate
-----------------------
1. P079221 - Unemployment Insurance Rates = NY (33) / Tax Type I (SDI) = 0.000 for the specific company and for ALL the client’s companies
2. P060120 - Employee Tax Overrides from Employee Information P0801 = Tax Area 33 and Tax Type = I set for 0.00
3. P059116 - PDBA set up for Pay Type 210, 500 Bonus, and Auto-Pay field = B
4.Test 1
a. P07210I - Enter Interim for Employee 285xxx (NY / 33) with Pay Type = 210 Bonus and Pay Type = 500 Supplemental
b. Click Calculate icon
c. Check the Pay Stub Detail = NY SDI, type I shows calculating 1.60, but should = 0.00 because of the override settings.
5. Test 2 for comparison
a. P059116 PDBA Setup for pay type 1 = Regular, Auto-pay field = Y
b. Enter Interim P07210I for Pay Type = 1 Regular to show the difference
c. Click Calculate icon
d. Check the Pay Stub Detail = NY SDI, type I shows = Blank which is correct. The Override Settings are working.
