E1: ORCH: Orchestration With Spaces in the Name Fails From B98ORCH With Error - AIS Login Failure - When Using AIS Load Balancer (Doc ID 2928145.1)

Last updated on APRIL 10, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When orchestration has spaces in the name and that name is used in B98ORCH, it fails to run when the web client is connected to an AIS load balancer URL.
It works correctly if the web client is connected to the individual AIS instance. It happens in P98ORCH, which internally calls B98ORCH and it can happen in other custom applications calling B98ORCH as well. In P98ORCH, "AIS Login Failure" message is returned when such call is made with Wait flag as 1 (synchronous call), as shown below:

 Steps to replicate:

  1. Create an orchestration with spaces in the name. Eg: <ORCH – phones>
  2. Make sure that it works from studio
  3. Login to a jas instance connected to an AIS load balancer
  4. Access P98ORCH from fastpath
  5. Enter the name as "ORCH – phones" and Wait value as 1
  6. Enter other required input values and click on Launch button
