E1: 43E: Direct Connect Extrinsic Value not Passed in Payload to Supplier During Punch Out in Shopping Cart (P43E25) if Data Dictionary Value is Numeric (Doc ID 2935679.1)

Last updated on MARCH 31, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requisition Self Service - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When punching out to a supplier's website from the Shopping Cart (P43E25) in Requisition Self Service, the Extrinsic Value setup in the Direct Connect for the Supplier (P43E22) is not being sent to the supplier in the payload of the XML data if the data dictionary value of the data item is setup as a numeric value. This works properly if the data dictionary item is defined as a string.

STEPS
-----------------------

1. Setup a Supplier for Direct Connect that will be used in RSS punch out.
2. In the P43E22, under the Extrinsic Information, setup two values. The first for the data dictionary alias of AN8 (numeric) and the second value for ALPH (string). Ensure both of these values exist for the address book associated with the user id of the person creating the requisition.
3. Turn on BSSV logs.
4. Go to the P43E25 (Shopping Cart) and select the vendor to punch out to the supplier's website.
5. Review the BSSV log. The AN8 value is not passed into the payload. The ALPH value is correctly seen in the payload.
