Symptoms

Creating a RMA using the “Sales Ledger – Select Line” over an original Foreign Sales Order (and using the Original Order Prices) gives incorrect Foreign Amount on the CO Credit Order when CRR is used from a PLR Disposition Code. If creating the RMA right away with the CRR Disposition Code, the CO Credit Order is generated with the correct Foreign Amount.

Steps:

  1. P0015A - Currency Exchange Rate Entry - Work with Currency Exchange Rates - Originally set to USD 1.00 to BRL 5.00
  2. P4210 – Create and process a sales order all the way thru sales update
  3. P0015A – New Currency Exchange Rate - USD 1.00 to BRL 4.00
  4. P400511 – Processing options last disposition set to “CRR”
  5. P40051 – Click ADD button and create a new RMA.
  6. Look up for the sales order created previously create. Select line and take Row exit to Credit Memo and then, Select line. Click Close (X)button
  7. P400511 – Click green check mark to save the RMA order
  8. P4210 – See that new Credit order just created matches the Foreign Unit Price / Ext. Amount
  9. Now, first change the P400511 for last disposition = PLR version used to create RMA to have Last Disposition set to “PLR”. As per Document E1:42/43/17: Return Material Authorization (RMA) (P40052/P42025/P400502R400510/P4210/P4310) (Doc ID 625416.1) - “CLS and PLR
may be used in instances where a reference number from entering an RMA is needed, and no further processing is done. PLR also may be used when the order types needed are not known, or the quantity being returned is not known, because it can be changed to a Last Disposition that creates an order type(s) at a later point.”
  10. P40051 – Create a new RMA
  11. Click green check mark to accept the RMA
  12. P40051 - Select new RMA, using take Row Exit “Receive/Credit” to revise the Disposition Code and change it to CRR at this time.
  13. See that last disposition changes to CRR. At this time, change the Use Original Price (Y/N) field to “1”. Click Green Check mark to save the RMA and create CO and OM.
  14. Still on P40051 screen, see that the price in the new create credit order is different that original amount in original sales order sold to customer.
