Last updated on APRIL 07, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne US Payroll - Version 9.2 to 9.2 [Release 9.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

SUI (State Unemployment Insurance) Misc Tax Type HM calculates correctly for 2022 but does not calculate correctly in 2023.  The test used Texas (44), however, it appears to be any state.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. Create Employee (EE) with tax area residence & work to 44 (P0801).
  2. Create an interim, P07210I, for 2022 for $9,500, run Payroll, P07210, thru Final Update, R07250.
  3. Create another interim for 2023 for $9,500 run Payroll thru Final Update.
  4. Go to Payment History (P070601) and inquire on the EE and review the 2 payments above and notice 2022 shows a tax type HM but 2023 does not.
  5. Go to Tax History, P070920, and review tax type HM for this EE and notice 2022 calculates correctly, showing excess of $500 since limit is 9,000. In 2023 it does not calculate correctly.
