E1: 41: Item Master Revisions (P4101) Returns “UNSPSC commodity code does not exist” (Error ID 09CD) When Changing a Different Field

Symptoms
When attempting to change a unit of measure on a previously created Item Master (P4101) record, the following error occurs.
“UNSPSC commodity code does not exist” (Error ID 09CD)
Steps to Reproduce:
- Go into work with Item Master (P4101). Enter Item 45374 and click Find. When the record is retrieved, click on the Item Number link to go to the Item Master Revision screen.
- On the Item Master Revision screen, click on the Additional Info. Tab. Notice the UNSPSC field is populated with the value XX.XX.XX.Xx.
- Click on the Weights and Measures Tab and attempt to change a unit of measure.
- The error “UNSPSC commodity code does not exist” (Error ID 09CD) is returned.
- Return to the Additional Info Tab. Go into the UNSPSC Code field and click on the visual assist.
- The UNSPSC Commodity Code Search & Select screen returns.
- Click Find to retrieve all the codes.
- The code cannot be found in the table.
- To add a code, run the program UNSPSC and Commodity program (P40510) and press the Add button.
- A form appears for adding a new code but the client does not know how to populate the fields in the form.
