Last updated on JUNE 15, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After a new foundation has been created on an AS400, when attempting to start the E1 jobs from A98OWMNU or from terminal emulator, the jobs are not started and no JDE logs are created.

When attempting to start the E1 jobs from A98OWMNU after selecting E920SYS927 library, the following error is reported:

In the above error, it has been noted that the folder on IFS which is attempting to read the JDE.INI from is E920SYS92 instead of E920SYS927. The fatal error points to E920SYS, but this is as expected because this is according to the compile linked code.

Steps to replicate:

  1. Open the terminal emulator.
  2. Start A98OWMNU with "go a98owmnu".
  3. Under "SERVER CONFIGURATION" select option 5 (Start EnterpriseOne Services).
  4. The above error is shown in the A98OWMNU screen.

Changes

A new foundation has been created on an AS400 server.
