Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 9.2 version, Procurement

In the Supplier Master(P04012) on Purchasing 2 tab, there is a "Weight Display U/M"(Data Item: WUMD) field.

Item Help: Unit of Measure - Weight Display

Alias: WUMD
A user defined code (00/UM) that identifies which unit of measure the system should use to display the weight of individual order lines and the order as a whole for this customer when you use the order summary form.

However, the Order Summary (P430114) does not convert the Weight field to the "Weight Display U/M" defined in the Supplier Master correctly.

Step to duplicate;

  1. In the Supplier Master(P04012) on Purchasing 2 tab, define "LB" to the "Weight Display U/M".
  2. In the Item Master(P4101) on Weights and Measures tab, the Weight(Data Item: UWUM) is "KG".
  3. Define item Unit of Measure (P41002) 1 EA = 100 KG, and 1 LB = 0.45 KG(Inverse conversion 2.22222).
  4. Create a purchase order with quantity 1 EA. The P4310 automatically set the weight as 100.00 KG which is correct(1 EA = 100 KG).
  5.  Open Row > Order Summary. The P430114 display the weight in 100.00  LB where should be 222.222 LB.

Same issue exists for Volume UoM conversion as well.
