Symptoms
When exemptions are set up, the county taxes are incorrect for the supplemental pay type for Indiana. Starting the February 2023 Vertex monthly update, the exemptions should still apply for the supplemental/bonus pay type.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set up Employee Information (P0801) for Work Tax area in Indiana
2. Row Exit Employee Tax Overrides (P060120) and for records A - FEDERAL and F (Area 15 - Indiana) set Exemptions = 2.
3. Take Form exit Additional Overrides (P0701732) and set Work tax area = 150630000, Tax Type County = L, JIT = 0, Indiana County Withholding = T.
4. Enter an interim pay check (P07210i) for the Indiana employee for Supplemental Pay Type and Lump Sum = $1000.00.
5. Click Calculate for the Pay Stub Detail (P07352) to check for
6. Click Tax Overrides (P07353) and note the county value = $15.69 instead $17.00.
