Symptoms

Closed sales orders that have already been run through R42800 Sales Update are going back on hold when clicking OK through the closed order. Messages are being sent to the Person Responsible letting them know a closed order is back on hold end extra time is spent tracking it down and re-releasing the closed order.

Steps to replicate:

  1. P42090. Verify XX Administrative Hold is setup as an order level hold code in P42090.
  2. P4210. Define the XX hold code in the Order Process Hold processing option and enter a new sales order. The order goes on hold as expected.
  3. P43070. Release the hold.
  4. P4205. Confirm the order.
  5. R42800. Set the R42800 processing option not to purge the F4201 or F4211 and process the order to close it out of the Sales module and create AR and GL entries.
  6. P4210. Inquire on the order and note it has been closed out and no more updates can be made to it.
  7. P4210. Select the order to go into the detail and view the closed line and click OK to exit. The order goes back on hold even though it’s closed.
