Symptoms
Customer has upgraded tools release from 9.2.5.2 to 9.2.7.2 and Ship Confirm (P4205) is no longer working with an orchestration and form extension that worked in the previous tools release. The purpose of the Orchestration will be to launch the Sales Price Cost Update (R42950) to reprice the sales order when a user clicks the OK button at Ship Confirm (P4205).
If the Form Extension has been configured to run the Orchestration with “Execute After Event” selected when the OK button is clicked, Ship Confirm (P4205) rolls back the transaction. If the Form Extension has been configured to run the Orchestration with “Execute Before Event” selected when the OK button is clicked it does not roll back the transaction.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Create an Orchestration that calls a version of Sales Price/Cost Update (R42950) report.
- Create a Form Extension that associates the orchestration to the OK button Execute After Event.
- Share the Form Extension User Defined Object with a particular User ID or Role.
- Sign-in to EnterpriseOne using the User ID or Role.
- Inquire on an order in Ship Confirm (P4205).
- Select the order with option 1 to process the order.
- Click Ok to process. Form returns to Ship Confirm screen. No errors are displayed.
- The order is not processed. The P4205 screen is closed.
- Record is not removed from Work with Shipment Confirmation Grid.
- Customer Service Inquiry (P4210) shows sales order status not updated.
- In Item Ledger/Cardex (P4111) no record was written for the transaction.
- An email is sent to the user with the subject “Application Recovery for P4205” stating “There was a problem with the server while running the business function ShipConfirmEndDoc.”
- Review of Work With F42210 Commitments Recovery (P42210), shows the record for the order line.
