E1: 49: Asynchronous Business Function Error and Transaction Error with Release of Blanket Order for Kit Item (Doc ID 2946465.1)

Last updated on JUNE 23, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Sales Order Entry - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Attempting to save an order in P42101 or P4210 after a blanket for a kit item has been selected, results in a Transaction Error. This occurs where a blanket order (SB or similar) exists for the item on the sales order, but where the blanket is NOT selected during initial order entry; the association to the blanket is performed after the order is created.

When the order is saved, system throws an Async BSFN error  followed by a Transaction error

STEPS TO DUPLICATE

  1.  Enter a Sales Order in P4210 or P42101 for a Kit Item that has a matching Blanket Order. Submit and Close the order without releasing from the Blanket.
  2.  Go back into the Order, go to the Row Exit and locate/release from a valid Blanket Order.
  3.  Attempt to save the order with the 'Submit" button; the system throws error "Transaction Error / Transaction Cannot Be Committed"
  4.  The sales order does not take the correct Blanket Order price; it retains the price originally calculated during order entry.
