E1: 76B: NF-e Response Processing (R76B525) Fails to Process XML Returned by Brazil Government (SEFAZ) (Doc ID 2948892.1)

Symptoms

After upgrading from Tools Release 9.2.5.4 with a 32-Bit Windows Server to 9.2.7.1 and Release 22 applications, the NF-e Response Processing (R76B525) application fails to update Nota Fiscal with the government response (approved, rejected, etc). The following error is seen in the JDEDEBUG.LOG:

Unknow Root Element name

This error appears immediately after entering the business function ParseXMLResponsesUpdateNFe_76B (b76b527)

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Create a sales order with Brazilian Localization Active (P4210)
    1. Brazil Header (P4210BR) Displays. Click Ok.
    2. Brazil Details (P4210BR) Displays. Click OK to Save order.
  2. Run Print Pick Slip (R42520)
  3. Ship Confirm (P4205) the order
  4. Generate (NF-e) Nota Fiscal (R76558B XJDE0006)
  5. Generate (XML) Nota Fiscal (R76B561/R76B561L)
  6. The XML file just created is sent to SEFAZ
  7. The XML returns from SEFAZ with authorization to use
  8. Copy the file received from SEFAZ into the EnterpriseServer folder to be processed
  9. Set up a version of NF-e XML Responses Processing - BRA - 76B (R76B525)
    1. Set Processing Options to indicate the folder in Enterprise Server where you copied the file to be processed.
  10. Run NF-e XML Responses Processing - BRA - 76B (R76B525) with Logs turned ON.
    1. Review PDF output which shows 1 File not processed
    2. Review Workcenter which shows no errors
  11. Review JDEDEBUG.log
    1. Search on “Unknow Root Element name”
    2. This error appears immediately after entering the business function ParseXMLResponsesUpdateNFe_76B (b76b527)
