E1: 01: 08: Request to Update Change Reason Code (TRS) in HR History (F08042) When Changing the Alpha Name (ALPH) in Address Book Revisions ( P01012) for Employee Search Types (Doc ID 2957070.1)

Symptoms

Requesting the HR History table (F08042) be updated with the Change Reason (TRS) when the user makes a change to the Alpha Name (ALPH) in Address Book Revisions (P01012). Currently, the Change Reason and Change Reason Description are not populated in HR History after the user updates the change in Address Book Revisions.

Setup and steps:

  1. Go to P08041 – Select Data Items for History Tracking. Select ALPH and verify it has the Y Yes, to track changes for the ALPH field.
  2. Go to Employee Information (P0801). Search for the employee then take the Row Exit for Address Book.
  3. From Address Book Revisions (P01012) make a change on the Alpha Name (ALPH) and accept the change.
  4. Refresh the screen in Employee Information to see the change.
  5. Go to P050242, search for the employee and the Data Item ALPH and note the Change Reason (TRS) and Change Reason Description are blank.
  6. Alternately use databrowser over the HR History table (F08042) and search for the Employee with Data Item ALPH.
