E1: 49: Select Multiple Locations (P42053) Allows Branch Plant Enabled for Transportation Sales Order if SY49T is Disabled in P99410 (System Control) (Doc ID 2958207.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When performing a pack confirm and going into the Multiple Locations, the branch plant value in the header portion of the form is available to change if the SY49T is disabled in the P99410. Bug 22593432 - SHPN BLANKED OUT WHEN SPLIT LINE WITH MULT LOC disabled the branch plant in the P4205 and P42053 if a shipment number was assigned to a sales order for TMS processing. This is because if the branch is changed during ship confirm, the shipment is not updated with the new branch and the original shipment is not cancelled.  A new shipment is also not created for the new branch. It was decided that branch plant changes at ship confirm are not supported for sales orders in transportation. With the branch plant available in the header, the user is able to change this value and change the quantity to another branch. If both the SY49 and SY49T are activated in the P994410, the branch is protected in both the header and the grid

STEPS

Test 1:

1. Turn on SY49 and SY49T in the P99410.
2. Create a TMS sales order using the P4210 in branch 10.
3. Go into a version of the P4205 for pack confirm and find the order.
4. Go into the multiple locations window (row exit). Note the branch plant is disabled in the header and grid. No change to the branch is available. This is correct.

Test 2:

1. Disable only the SY49T in the P99410.
2. Create a TMS sales order using the P4210 in branch 10.
3. Go into a version of the P4205 for pack confirm and find the order.
4. Go into the multiple locations window (row exit). Note the header branch is available to change. If a new branch is entered and the find button is executed, all available inventory for another branch shows in the grid and the user is able to change the quantity to another branch.  This causes integrity issues on the order, as the original shipment is not cancelled and a new shipment is not created. The original shipment assigned to the order has the original branch entered on the order.
