E1: 41: One View Inventory Valuation Analysis Inquiry - P41271 Retrieves the Stocking Type and Planner Number from Item Master Record Instead of Using Item Branch Details
(Doc ID 2960211.1)

Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When having an item defined with different Stocking Types and Planner Numbers in different branch plants, P41271 program displays the item records by retrieving the Stocking Type (Alias: STKT) and Planner Number (Alias: ANPL) details from the Item Master record rather than using the Item Branch details.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- P4101 – Create an item using Stk Ty = O (obsolete) and add a Planner Number: e.g. 6001.
- P41026 – For the previous item create an Item Branch record in B/P “A” and set the stocking type of the item to e.g. M – manufactured and Planner Number to e.g. 6003.
- P41026 – In B/P “B” add a new Item Branch record and use Stk Ty = P and Planner Number 6002.
- P41271 – Inquire on the item by leaving the Branch/Plant field defined to generic value ( * ). Notice that the system gets the Stocking Type and the Planner Number of the item from the Item Master rather than Item Branch for both Item Branch records. This is incorrect, because the details vary from a B/P to another and confusing for the customers, especially when the same item exists on multiple branch plants / companies etc.
