E1: 41: Item Ledger As Of Record Generation (R41542) Calculates Incorrect Quantity on Potent Items (Doc ID 2962296.1)

Last updated on JULY 23, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

After changing the potency in the Lot Master (P4108) where there is inventory on hand, the system will update the Item Ledger correctly (F4111). However, upon running the Item Ledger As Of Record Generation (R41542), the system will update the Item ASOF (F41112) file differently.

Steps
1. Create potency-controlled item (P4101/P41026). Specify KP as primary UOM - where KP is a potency controlled UOM and secondary UOM as KG.
2. In the Item Branch (P41026), take the row exit to Additional System Information; in the Grade and Potency tab, set the Standard Potency to 78, From Potency 68 and Thru Potency = 84.
3. Create item conversion (P4101 form exit) between KG and KP: 1 KG = 1 KP.
4. Review UDC 00/UM; make sure that KP has the Special Handling code set for potency (e.g., VP).
5. Adjust inventory (P4114) for the item into a lot at standard potency for 100 KG.
6. Review the Item Ledger (P4111); notice how the system calculates the total Quantity on Hand in the potent primary unit of measure.
7. Change the Lot Master potency to 80 (P4108).
8. Review Item Ledger (P4111); notice there is a CP Document Type record for the potency change
9. Run the Item Ledger As Of Record Generation (R41542) over the item.
10. Review the quantity in the Item ASOF table (F41112); notice that the quantity will be incorrect and different from Item Ledger (F4111).
