Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Under specific conditions, upon copying an existing Work Order (P48201 calling P17714) that has header item with a valid Bill of Material (F3002), the system does not create the new Work Order with the Parts Detail (P17730) automatically attached. This problem occurs even though processing option 10 (Create Parts Detail) in the Process tab is set to 1.

Steps
1. Verify that the version of Work Order Revisions (P17714) has processing option 10 (Create Parts Detail) in the Process tab set to 1.
2. Find a Work Order in Work with Work Orders (P48201); this order should already have a header item with a valid Bill of Material (F3002).
3. Select the record and click on the copy button.
4. After entering required information (e.g., Start Date) and saving the Work Order, re-inquire on it in Work with Work Orders (P48201).
5. Take the row exit to Parts Detail and notice that there are no grid records in P17730.
6. Test the same process but this time perform an ADD and using the same header item. Notice that the system does create the Work Order with the Parts Detail already attached.
