Symptoms

After stopping the E1 services with ENDNET and running CLEARIPC on an AS400 Enterprise Server, when running STRNET to start the E1 services, the services are not started and the following errors are reported into the main listener log:

Steps to replicate the issue:

  1. Login on Terminal Emulator using the username which is granted to start the E1 jobs.
  2. Open E1 menu with: go a98owmnu.
  3. Select to start the E1 services (run STRNET).
  4. Notice that the services are not started.
