E1: SEC: P03B455: Clicking Open Find Should Not Populate Grid With Data When No Filter Criteria Are Specified, Even When Application Query Security (Open Find) Is Configured in P98950 (Doc ID 2970979.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 13, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When Application Query Security (To Prevent "Open Find" Queries) is configured for Application P03B455, clicking the "Find" (Open Find) button results in an "OPEN FIND ERROR" error message on screen as expected.

However as shown below, the grid data is loaded in the background. Clicking "Ok" populates the grid with data, even though no filter criteria have been specified. The application should only throw an error message and not display any data.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Configure App Query Security using P98950 for the standard Application P03B455.
  2. Save the configuration and Clear JDBJ service cache from Server manager.
  3. Open Application P03B455 from the fastpath.
  4. Click the "Find" (Open Find) button.
  5. Click "Ok".
