E1: 32: Configured Item Rule Range or Values - P32921 Does not Allow Deleating Values from the *VALUES List of Values and Only Add Option is Allowed
(Doc ID 2972532.1)
Last updated on SEPTEMBER 08, 2023
Applies to:
JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Configurator - Version 9.2 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
If an assembly inclusion rule is defined with *VALUES list of value, the user can only add the desired values in the P32921 – Values Revision screen but the system does not allow deleting any values, even if the transactional message “Are you sure that you want to delete the selected item?” is accepted correctly through the OK button.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
- P4101 / P41026 – Create a configured item (Stk Ty = C, Ln Ty = W).
- P3291 – Add 2 segments for the configured parent.
- P3293 – Add a conditional P AIR for the configured parent:
IF segment 1 equals “A”
AND segment 2 equals *VALUES
* (THEN) insert item “XYZ” - For the *VALUES list of values, take Visual Assist.
- P32921 – In the Values Revision screen, add several values: A, B, C, D and E. Close the list of values.
- P3293 – Save the P AIR and close the application.
- P3293, form W3293N – Re-inquire on the previous P AIR; select the “A – And” / 2nd line of the P AIR and take Row > Edit Group option.
- P3293, form W3293A - Select the Values field (Alias: ATIV) for the “AND” condition and take the Visual Assist button. Delete couple of values from the P32921 – Values Revisions form.
- P32921 – select the second value (“B”) and press OK button on the pop-up message “Are you sure that you want to delete the selected item?”. The system displays only 4 values now (A, C, D and E).
- P32921 – select the fourth value (“D”) and press OK button on the transactional message. There are only 3 values available (A, C and E) on the list of values.
- P3210 – Save the P AIR and exit the application.
- P3293 – Re-inquire on the P AIR and select the second row (the AND condition) of the assembly inclusion rule. Then go to Row exit > Values option.
- P32921 shows all 5 values defined on the step 5, although the user attempted to delete the second (“B”) and fourth (“D”) values. This is incorrect because the system only allows adding new values on the list of values. However, it does not delete any value, although the transaction is confirmed correctly in the pop-up message.
