Last updated on SEPTEMBER 11, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Fixed Assets - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The User Defined Depreciation UBE(R12855) fails to complete processing in Work With Submitted Jobs (WSJ) when it includes an asset that has a depreciation start date that is decades out in the future (for example 2070).

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. P1204/P1201: Create a new asset with a start depreciation date far into the future (for example 2070).
  2. P0008: Create a Fiscal Date Pattern for every year into the future (till start depreciation date and beyond).
  3. P0911: Create a Journal Entry to account for the cost.
  4. R09801/P12102: Post the Journal to Fixed Assets.
  5. R12855: Run Depreciation with data selection that includes this asset. The UBE fails to complete processing.
  6. R12855: Run Depreciation with data selection that excludes this asset. The UBE completes normally.
