E1: 49: Canceling Freight Line in Transportation Sales Order (P4210) Fails to Clear Shipment Number in Sales Order Detail (F4211) Table (Doc ID 2978534.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 29, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Transportation Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a freight line is added via transportation process R4981 (Freight Update), or via the Added Line functionality available during the P4205 process, that line is assigned the same shipment number as the original line. If the user cancels the Freight line via P4210 the shipment number is not removed from F4211.SHPN for that line. The only way to remove the shipment number is to SQL it out in the shipment detail table.

STEPS TO DUPLICATE:

  1. Raise a TMS order in P4210, check that a shipment is created.
  2. Approve the shipment. Use either the P4205 set as Pack Confirm to add a Freight line to the order, or confirm the shipment via the P4915/P49645/P4205 process.
  3. Run the Freight Update (R4981) if the second method has been used. The Freight line is added to the sales order as 1.010.
  4. Use the P4210 'Cancel Line' exit to cancel the Freight line only.
  5. Check the F4211 data - in SHPN, the shipment number is on both the item line and the closed freight line.
