E1: 42i: Generate Replenishment Orders for Customer Moving to Outbound Inventory Management (OIM/VMI) With No Reported Consumption - R42i30 (Doc ID 2981474.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 17, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Outbound Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Generate Replenishment Sales Orders (R42i30) should be created when running the program stand-alone.
Replenishment would be an excellent way to convert existing customer's on hand inventory into the OIM System 42i. When converting a customer to Outbound Inventory Management, there should be the option of loading their current on hand balances and then running Replenishment to generate orders. As this would be for a new, existing OIM setup, there would no consumption yet reported to kick off replenishment.

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Set up an Outbound Inventory VMI Agreement Master and Detail
2. Execute (R42i30) Generate Outbound Replenishment Order
3. Select specific data selection for the item of the VMI agreement or run it wide open.
4. No data is selected when reviewing the WC and submitted job. No replenishment sales orders are created.
