Symptoms
For Oregon Paid Leave it is noted per Thomson Reuters Checkpoint newsletter:
The Oregon Department of Revenue clarified in its FAQs on W-2 reporting that employers are not required to report Paid Leave Oregon (Paid Family and Medical Leave) contributions on an employee's W-2.
If paid leave (tax type G2) is not required in Box 14 then it should not print in Locality in year-end reports R07885 Print Laser W-2's (4 part) XJDE0003BI and R07886 Print W-2 Pressure Seal Forms XJDE0002.
Steps:
1. P0801 Employee, set up an employee with tax area 38.
2. P07210 Pre-Payroll, run employee through payroll for 2023 for new Paid Family Leave tax.
3. P07810 US Year-End Workbench, build year-end with the employee in Data Selection.
4. P07810 US Year-End Workbench, set up reports and run R07885. View the PDF and see that page 1 has a blank Locality, and page 2 has PAID LEAVE Locality. This is incorrect.
