E1: 42I: Allow Location and Lot to be Optional when Reporting Consumption with R47121 EDI Product Activity Data Edit/Create (Doc ID 2986392.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 28, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Outbound Inventory Management - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

With the current design if location and lots are used in the VMI process then location and lot are required to be populated in the EDI data when the vendor reports consumption. This is because the EDI data needs to match the location and lot stored in the F42I02 Outbound Inventory Agreement Acknowledge table. See Bug 34401584 - REPORT CONSUMPTION P42I03, ERRORS OIM AGRMNT NOT FOUND, QTY NOT AVAIL -R47121. However if the vendor does not track locations or lots as part of their business process they have no way of sending that data in the EDI transmission. The request is to add an option to allow consumption based via R47171 to be based on the earliest received date or something similar.
