E1: JAS: Applications Closes By Itself While User is Still Logged In on the Web Client (Doc ID 2993348.1)

Last updated on DECEMBER 15, 2023

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Tools - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Issue occurs to one specific user laptop who's Operating System is on Windows 10.

Symptoms

Interactive Applications are closing unexpectedly while user session is still active on EnterpriseOne web client.

From the User Specific JAS debug log, it shows that the user stopped using EnterpriseOne on the web client at 10:41:02. The user stopped using EnterpriseOne to work on something else. When the user returns back to EnterpriseOne, the application the user was working on is no longer running. The application closes by itself. The time stamp this happens is at around 10:48.

User is not logged out of EnterpriseOne as system has not reached 60 minutes of session idle time. The user session is still active. A Close message did show up as the last thing in the User Specific JAS debug log, but the timestamp is over an hour later at 11:45:19.

This happens to just one user several times per week.

Steps to duplicate:

  1. User signs on to EnterpriseOne on the web client.
  2. User is working in an application.
  3. User left the application and work on something else.
  4. Came back to E1, although User is not logged out of EnterpriseOne, but application has closed by itself.
