Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When a user with Language set to 'S' (Spanish) and country set to AR (Argentina), runs the Legalized General Ledger - ARG - 09 (R76A8020) report with the Options tab processing option set to a valid Category Code (21, 22, or 23) the report is not translating the Account Description correctly.

Steps:

  1. From User Profile Revisions, verify the User Profile is set to S in the Language and AR in the localization country code.
  2. Verify the account that will show on the report is valid in Work with Accounts (P0901) and has a valid Category Code (21, 22, or 23) value.
  3. From F0901 take the Row Exit for Account Translation and verify this is set up for S in the language and the Description is set to a unique value that is different from the Account description and different from the description on the Category Code. This will make the identification of the issue easier to see.
  4. Go to Batch Versions (BV) for R76A8020 or G76A09 and click on Account Ledger Legalized Book.
  5. Set up and execute a version where the Options tab processing option Selected Account Number Category Code is set to the value from step 2.
  6. Go to the bottom of the report and review the last few pages for the Account Description that was picked up. Note that it is using the Category Code Description value, rather than the Account Translation Description for language = S.
