Symptoms

When doing back order releasing from the Work With Backorders (P42117) for a foreign currency sales order, if it is foreign currency sales order, the shipment detail (F4942) is generated with currency code (Alias:CRCD) = base currency which is expected to be the foreign currency.

Steps:

  1. In the Enter New Order (P42101), create a sales order with foreign currency code. The currency code is EUR and the base is USD. Ensure all the quantities (for example 10) are backordered.
  2. Open P42117 and search the order.
  3. Partially release order quantity (2/10 in this example).
  4. Go back to the order enquiry screen and search for the order created. See the released line have the shipment number assigned.
  5. On F4942 Shipment Detail table, the currency code is USD for the shipped order line, different than the currency code of EUR saved on the F4211 Sales Order Detail table, on the order line.
