E1: 90CA: Recurrence Setup on Manage Activity (P01301) Not Sending Reminders of Upcoming Appointment (Doc ID 3001019.1)

Symptoms

Manage Activity (P01301) does not trigger Daily Email Reminders of an upcoming sales appointment three days in the future even though Daily Reminders were setup on the Recurrence Tab.

Steps to Duplicate:

  1. Start the CRM - Manage Leads (P90CB010) program. Find a new lead created by your User/ID and Address Book.
  2. Make sure Email is setup on Address Book 59 in Email/Internet Revisions (P01111).
  3. On then Lead Form scroll to the bottom and verify I am listed as the Lead Owner.
  4. On Manage Leads (P90CB010) screen, click on the Activities Tab.
  5. On the Activities (P01301) Screen click the Add Activity Button.
  6. Today is Tuesday 1/9/2024. Add Sales Call Appointment for Thursday, 1/11/2024, click Remind Checkbox and Select the Recurrence Tab.
  7. On Recurrence tab:
    1. Select Daily radio button
    2. Every 1 day
    3. Range of Recurrence
    4. Start 1/9/2024
    5. End After 3 Occurrences.
    6. Click “Save and Close” Button.
    7. When Activity Screen returns, the appointment is listed in the grid. Click the Close button.
  8. Check Email. Notification is sent on 1/9/2024 to Lead Owner’s email address because the new Appointment Activity was added.
  9. Check Email again on 1/10/2024.
    1. No Reminder/Notification Email was received by the Lead Owner.
  10. Check Email again on 1/11/2024.
    1. No Reminder/Notification Email was received by the Lead Owner.
  11. Today is 1/12/2024 and the Sales Call appointment has been missed because Lead Owner never received a reminder.
    1. Lead Owner did not make the call because they did not receive a reminder.
    2. Lead Owner did not check the completed box and completed date on the Activities on 1/11/2023 because they were not reminded and forgot about the appointment
