E1: 34: Message Update Performed in MRP/MPS Detail Message Revisions - P3411 Gives Incorrect Message Start Date when Variable Leadtime Item Has Long Queue Time (Doc ID 3004298.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 16, 2024

Applies to:

JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Requirements Planning - Version 9.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Items with long Queue Times calculate Level Leadtime correctly (P41026 value) and R3483 generates Messages that - do - line up with the number of expected days.

However, if the user goes into the P3411 Message and manually blanks out the Start Date and the Recommended Start Date and tabs out of the Row the dates recalculated incorrectly.

Steps:

  1. Set up a Variable lead time item with a Routing that has a large value for Queue Hours (Queue Hours should not be on the 1st Operation).
  2. Run LT Roll Up R30822A. Validate Level LT and LTPU are correct.
  3. Enter a Forecast far enough in the future to allow calculated WO Start Date to not be in the past.
  4. Run R3483
  5. Review the MRP Message and note the Recommended Start Date is correct for the items Level LT.
  6. Edit the P3411 Message. Open it and Blank out the Recommended Start Date and tab out of the Row - note the recalculated Start date is different.
