R12855 is calculating same depreciation amounts for many assets.
STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Setup the 4 assets as above (3 assets are starting depreciation in 2007, and one in 2021)
2. Setup a depreciation rule in P12851 (Depreciation Rules) for Depr Method =01, Compute Direction=I, Life Mos= 60. Particularly this depreciation rule is setup for 2 intervals:
First interval
Date From = 01-01-1900
Date Thru = 31-12-2015
Begin Date = 01-01-1900
Ending Date = 12-31-2015
The second interval for this rule is.
Date From = 01-01-2016
Date Thru =
Begin Date = 01-01-2016
Ending Date =
3. Setup a depreciation rule in P12851 (Depreciation Rules) for Depr Method =01, Compute Direction=I, Life Mos= 36. Particularly this depreciation rule is setup for 3 intervals:
First interval
Date From = 01-01-1900
Date Thru = 31-12-2014
Begin Date = 01-01-1900
Ending Date = 31-12-2014
The second interval for this rule is
Date From = 01-01-2015
Date Thru = 31-12-2016
Begin Date = 01-01-2015
Ending Date = 31-12-2016
The third interval for this rule is:
Date From = 01-01-2017
Date Thru =
Begin Date = 01-01-2017
Ending Date =
4. Enter beginning balance for the 4 assets (you can follow the F1202 excel attach to the bug as an example)
5. Run R12855 for the 4 assets setup above.
6. Review the R12855 pdf and notice that same depreciation is calculated in the same amount for 2 or more assets as bellow despite the different beginning balances.
