Symptoms
Once there is tax history for the CPP Tier 2 $188 amount in the next payroll for the employee the Payroll Register (R073012) Taxable YTD amount is overstated by pre-tax deduction amounts.
Steps:
1. P07210, run pre-payroll for a Canadian employee who has reached the 2nd CPP limit (with pre-tax deductions) and with the Payroll Register R073012 attached to Pre-Payroll.
2. Review the payroll register R073012, the Taxable Current and YTD amounts are correct.
3. Run the payroll through Final Update and create history for the CPP2 $188 amount.
4. Run another payroll for the employee
5. Review the payroll register and the Taxable YTD amounts is overstated by the pre-tax deduction amount.
