E1: DD: P0004A UDC Changing Existing Value To New Value Does Not Delete Media Object Associated With Previous Value (Doc ID 3014009.1)

Symptoms

P0004A UDC Changing existing value to new value does not delete media object associated with previous value. This causes Orphan GT0005 media object attachments in F00165/F00166 without associated UDC value in F0005.

Steps:

  1. Fastpath P00167 Media Object Category Constants Revisions. Find and select GT0005.
  2. TAB(General)  check Decsription box. Save.
  3. Fastpath UDC. Find 00|20.
  4. Click ADD.
  5. Go to Last Row. Populate Codes=ABC, Description 1= abc. Save.
  6. Refresh Find. Goto Row – Attachments for Codes=ABC.
  7. In Attachment Manager panel, click + Attachment icon.
  8. Select Text attachment. Type GT0005-00-20-ABC in Name and Text screen, click Save.
  9. Right-click on Name(GT0005-00-20-ABC), select Characterize. Type GT0005-00-20-ABC in Description. Click Save. Close Attachment Manager panel.
10. Select Codes=ABC. Change ABC to DEF. Click Save. Refresh Find.
11. Databrowser F00165 and F00166. Find Object Name=GT0005; Generic Text Key= 00|20|ABC. Notice media object attachments for previous value ABC have not been deleted.
